Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Machu Picchu Tour

You begin the experience with a stroll from the Airport to the train station - in Cusco. Then it's off by bus to Ollantaytambo which is then the starting point of the scenic train ride to Aguas Calientes, through the lush Sacred Valley. When in Aguas Calientes you embark on a bus named Consettur and hike up to the citadel of Machu Picchu. After that, they will be guided all day long by a bilingual and knowledgeable guide through all the main temples, sacred plazas and royal regions, the incredible agricultural terraces of this wonder of the world, Machu Picchu. Learn about the high-tech technology, astronomy and the intriguing stories behind this famous landmark. Transfers will take place as soon as the guided tour, you will travel back on the bus to Aguas Calientes to have free time and enjoy a relaxing lunch and exploring Aguas Calientes at your own speed. You can take the train in the evening (from 6 to 8 PM) to Ollantaytambo. Also at around 10:00 PM, we will be waiting for you and escorting you back to Cusco from Plaza Regocijo.

Day 2: Palccoyo Mountain (Rainbow Mountain Tour)

The Palccoyo mountain tour begins early in the morning when hotels pick up you will be brought to Palccoyo mountain at 4.30 to 5 AM. After breakfast, you’ll head off to Cusipata, where you'll find a delicious breakfast, and then on to Checacupe, to take in the historic Inca and colonial bridges. Then it's on to the base camp, and another gentle walk of about an hour up on the hill leading to the Palccoyo Pass at 4880m. The panoramic view that you'll enjoy from this perspective will be spectacular and show the colorful Palccoyo Mountain, the Three Rainbow Mountains, the majestic Ausangate peak and the unique Stone Forest. It will take approximately 1 hour at the summit to capture stunning photos, and enjoy the magnificent view of this less crowded rainbow mountain tour. You will then be treated to a hot and hearty lunch in Cusipata, as you make your descent. You will depart by private means to Cusco where you will arrive around 5:30 pm at Plaza Regocijo. Your private transfer will be arranged by our team at agreed arrival/departure time to arrive at the airport conveniently from the hotel. End of services.
