Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Sacred Valley Tour

Your tour to Sacred Valley starts with an easy transfer from the airport to Cusco's hotel. This is where to leave your bags to sleep in briefly and acclimatise yourself to the altitude before you get on with the adventure. Our guide will meet you at the hotel early in the morning between 7:00 and 7:30 AM in order to begin the tour of the sacred valley. The first stop will be Pisac, from where you will have a special 40-minute guided tour of the area's remarkable agricultural terraces, along with archaeological sites. From there you head on up to Urubamba where you will have a buffet lunch; a great choice of both international and Peruvian cuisine is featured. Post lunch excursion to the sacred valley to Ollantaytambo, the last living Inca town. It takes about 40 minutes to be led through its huge stone buildings and historical streets. The day concludes in the city of Chinchero “The City of the Rainbow”, and cradle of the textile art, where you will be accompanied to guide them in their tour of the town also accompanied by a tour of the Inca architecture and traditional work of the textile. You are back in Cusco city about 7:00 PM at Plaza Regocijo in Cusco.

Day 2: Machu Picchu Tour

The Machu Picchu tour begins early in the morning, and starts at 4:00 AM when you are picked up at your Cusco hotel and then transferred to the bus station of Inca Rail in Cusco. In Ollanraytambo you will board the scenic train to Aguas Calientes with the great pleasure of traveling in a bus that offers great views of the river valley all the way. The journey to Machu Picchu citadel is up by Consettur Bus on arrival in Aguas Calientes. After arriving here, you'll meet your professional bilingual guide and start the tour of this Wonder of the World. You will see the largest temples, the most important plazas and the wonderful terraces, and also get to know the sophisticated Inca engineering. The guided part will end up in Aguas Calientes where you will have some free time to explore the town on your own and enjoy lunch. You take the evening train from Ollantaytambo (6:00 - 8:00 PM). Transference back to Cusco will be in the Plaza Regocijo around 10pm awaiting by our staff. Throughout the entire trip, this tour to Machu Picchu is still a highlight.

Day 3: Palccoyo Rainbow Mountain Tour

The Palccoyo rainbow mountain tour begins early with hotel pickup between 4:30 and 5:00 AM. You will head to Cusipata to enjoy a delicious breakfast that will give you energy for the day. Afterwards, you make a brief stop in Checacupe to see the Inca and colonial bridges. From there it is a short gentle trail up to the base camp after which it is a slow walk up to the Palccoyo Pass at 4,880 m. Here you can enjoy the magnificent panorama of the Three Rainbow Mountains and Ausangate peak and the Stone Forest. At the peak, you will spend an estimated one hour taking pictures and enjoying the stunning vistas of this lesser visited area. Descending, you'll be welcomed in Cusipata with a hot and cosy lunch. Finally, you arrive, by private transportation, at the Plaza Regocijo at Cusco around 5:30 pm. Palccoyo is known for its rainbow colored mountain in a tranquil setting of Andean landscapes.

Day 4: Laguna Humantay

Your tour to the fabulous Laguna Humantay begins with departing at an early hour from 4:00 AM till 4:30 AM. Guided to Mollepata for a tasty breakfast before starting your walk. From there walk along the up and uphill trail which runs for about 1 hour and 45 minutes until you reach the base of the lagoon - the trail is called Soraypampa. There, you'll be taking in the stunning turquoise waters of Laguna Humantay flowered around snow-capped peaks. You will have time to see everything from a point and take photographs, and admire all surroundings. You come back down the same trail to Mollepata. There you will eat a hot lunch before heading back to Cusco, where you will get off the bus at Plaza Regocijo between 5:30 – 6:00 PM. It is a day of adventure and one of the most picturesque natural scenes in the area.

Day 5 Quelccaya Glacier & Departure

The final encounter is at the Quelccaya Glacier, the world's biggest tropical glacier. The drive to Cusipata is in the evening, picking up starting between 3:00 and 3:30 AM; an excellent healthy breakfast will be provided at Cusipata. Afterwards, it is a moderate uphill trek of approximately 45 minutes to the bottom of the glacier in the Vilcanota Mountain Range of the village of Phinaya. On arrival, there's plenty of opportunity to see the magnificent displays of ice, capture your photos and experience the local vibe of this bucolic spot. You look around and then go back to Phinaya to have a hot lunch. Finally, you get back to Cusco, landing at Plaza Regocijo at about 6:30 – 7:00pm. Upon the agreed time, you will get a transfer to the airport. End of services.
